Josh Cribbs Deserves Better

Granted the new president of the Cleveland Browns,
Mike Holmgren, has a lot on his plate these days,
but keeping Pro Bowler Josh Cribbs should be one
of his priorities. The versatile Cribbs has been a
bright spot on the dismal Cleveland landscape. He
set the NFL career record for most kickoff returns
for touchdowns in addition to playing wide receiver,
quarterback and retuning punts.

The Browns offered $1.4 million per year. What are
they thinking? They cannot keep a quality player
for bargain basement prices. Even if they eventually
pay him what he is worth, why insult him with an offer
like this? There are many NFL teams willing to pay
him what he deserves.
